An advocate for animal rescue and safe and happy pet and pet owners.
In 1993, after many years as a health professional, I had a vision of caring for animals and to provide personal affection to pets most professionally and reliably. I traveled often and would board my dog, Mary Jane, a rescue, at the kennel where often she came back with a skin condition, hot spot or irritation that needed medical attention.
Having come from the shelter, she had abandonment issues as she didn't know if I was coming back for her. Her anxiety manifested in her chewing and scratching herself.
I knew there had to be a better way without imposing on friends or neighbors. I came up with the idea of providing in-home pet care, and daily dog walks for pet owners who often travel or have hectic work schedules. My plan allows their dog to be looked in on during the day for an essential "potty break" or walk in the comfort of their neighborhood.
In 1993, caring for pets in their own home was new, and Pet Mama Pet Sitting & Dog Walking Services quickly caught the attention of many pet owners and pet professionals. Our company specializes in 'seniors and special needs cats and dogs.'
After 29 years and scores of happy pet owners and their pets, I still love meeting new dogs and cats and look forward to meeting yours.
